Storage solutions (DAS/SAN/NAS/MAS)
Anacomp has many partnerships with OEMs to service a variety of network products. Storage Area Networks (SAN) based on fibre channel technology have recently emerged as the highest performance data communications environment available today to interconnect servers and storage. Anacomp also offers service for Direct-Attached Storage (DAS), Network-Attached Storage (NAS) and Mainframe-Attached Storage (MAS).
High-end laser printers, scanners, image products and plotters
Anacomp has many partnerships with OEMs to service a variety of scanners, high-speed laser printers and image products. Paper scanners are used in all types of businesses, from low to high volume requirements. We also service reader/printers for microfiche and roll film.
RAID systems / JBODs
Anacomp has many partnerships with OEMs to service a variety of RAID products. A disk system with RAID (Redundant Arrays of Independent Disk Drives) capability can protect its data and provide online, immediate access to its data, despite a single disk failure (some RAID storage systems can withstand two concurrent disk failures). RAID capability also provides for the online reconstruction of the contents of a failed disk to a replacement disk.
Tape/Optical/CD/DVD libraries and drives
Anacomp has many partnerships with OEMs to service a variety of library and drive systems. A tape library is a high-capacity, high-density, high-performance scalable device that uses multiple drives and storage slots to provide many terra bytes of data storage. These types of libraries can be combined with other modules to scale up the capacity. Optical jukeboxes (libraries) are used as temporary and long-term data storage devices. They include Magneto Optical (M.O.), CD-ROM, DVD-RAM and DVD-ROM devices.
Switches and routers
Anacomp has many partnerships with OEMs to service a variety of switches and routers. Switches and routers are an essential requirement for networks. Switches control what data is carried down the arms that link the devices involved in a transaction. The purpose of a router is to link different networks. A distinctive feature of the router is that if it receives data not destined for the network it is connected to, it forwards it to another router closer to the destination.
Servers
Anacomp has many partnerships with OEMs to service a variety of servers. A server is a computer or device on a network that manages network resources. For example, a file server is a computer and storage device dedicated to storing files. Any user on the network can store files on the server.
Computer Output to Microfilm (COM) Systems
For more than three decades, Anacomp has designed and manufactured state-of-the-art imaging systems that can output computer-generated data onto 105mm microfiche or 16mm roll film. Today, we have the largest installed base of film imaging systems in the world.
As a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new systems, Anacomp also offers "as new" imaging and print systems, rebuilt to the highest standards. Refurbishment services for high-speed laser printers are provided through our Depot Repair operations.
